No spoilage assumed.
It was just an idea and the resturant seems more than willing to work with us. It seemed like a worth while venture for people that were going to be there to have one place for us. I'll let it go for now and see if any interest arises later.

I have just secured a private room at Red, Hot, and Blue. This is so that people can come in and hang out in one place. As of right now they will be responsible for their own meals. Once the number of people is more concrete I plan to work on food and drink specials. The food/beverage manager has already shown interest in helping us out.

Yeah I really like KoP too but it's unrealistic to have everyone go there. If you go, bring me back a pizza and some of their hot sauce.

I took off from work that Thurs/Fri, so once I get the Forester packed for the weekend, I can be over in Cherry Hill as early as I want. I wouldn't mind eating some pizza early, then at the hotel later.
Todd, what time is Red, Hot & Blue setting up the private room for us? And how much are we paying for that?

Hmmm... taking off from work eh? I might decide to do that to miss the traffic too. This would let me get up there to make sure everything is good with the room. As for the room at RH&B: I haven't finalized the little things yet but we're booked for that room that day so I imagine anytime we want. I mentioned that it would likely be from 6pm-10pm or so. The specifics are going to wait until we have a better idea of how many people to expect. As for the room, it better not cost anything since I asked if we could be put in there anyway even if we didn't get the buffet/catering deal. I basically told him that we were going to over run his restaurant with about 40 people and that it would just make sense to put us in that room. Speaking of which, they have two TVs in there and I asked for a DVD player. Anyone got any good Rally DVD's to play? And I think if we do this every year that would be a great time to play the DVD from the previous years. So you better get cracking on that.

Yeah, well,...I kinda made a decision that this year I would just "get a feel" for using the video camera. I'll be buying a new camera in the next few weeks, and I'd like to get some experience with it, in order to make the most use of it. I'll definitely be getting some footage of this trip (and even of the scouting run), but I don't think a full-fledged DVD will be in the works this year; maybe enough for a 5-minute recap (or an info-mercial for next year's event). I can bring my motorcycle DVDs that I did, if anybody is interested in that (it features rides on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherohala Skyway, and Deal's Gap).
I wish my Irish buddy was still here in the 'States - he does video shoots (mostly for commercials, I think) for a living, and he's be a great co-pilot in that regard. Even so, I need to email him and get some pointers. Oh, but I digress...
6-10 is perfect. Those that show up earlier can stop by KofP, and still grab something later at the hotel over a few beers. I guess once we get a number, we can see how much we'll need to chip in for the buffet. Maybe Mike can put that into a package deal, once the PayPal buttons go up for pre-paying for the banquet dinner in LG; folks can pre-pay for the buffet and t-shirts at that time, too.

Most DVD players have some sort of .jpg read feature and I think most will do some sort of auto-scroll through the pictures. Might be fun seeing some pictures from 5+ years ago. Some WRC races would be awesome as well.
