Dear Mr. and Mrs. Chicoine: We would like to gratefully acknowledge that the 2009 “48 Hours of TriState” Subaru rally raised $25,293 for the American Cancer Society in memory of Armond “Freckles” Kaigle.
This year’s event, held January 16-18, featured nearly 50 cars driving through New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and Vermont in support of the fight against cancer. The 48 Hours of TriState is organized by a passionate group of volunteers, including Ted Drotleff whose dedication inspired so many of the participants to give so generously and enjoy a great rally too!
The funds raised by these dedicated drivers will be used by the American Cancer Society for our mission of saving lives and ending suffering from cancer. We will save lives by helping people stay well by preventing cancer or detecting it early; helping people get well by being there for them during and after a cancer diagnosis; by finding cures through investment in groundbreaking discovery; and by fighting back by rallying lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and by rallying communities worldwide to join the fight.
Again, we are grateful that the memory of Mr. Kaigle inspired so many drivers and their supporters to make such a sizable donation toward our mission.
Sincerely, Beth Richards State Vice President-Income Development 603.471.4114 Beth.Richards@cancer.org
