the dunhams bay cabin my group stayed in for 09 was riddled with bugs. dead ladybugs everywhere from the bathroom to the windows to the tv (maintenance tried shopvac, still bad, no discount). so to avoid this, and with 8 of us this year making a DB room impractical/costly, we're planning somewhere else to stay in lake george.
fete_palcone threw up the idea of best western @ 75$. i figure if other people can't stay at DB for whatever reason we could get a group at the alternate hotel instead of scattering. some people didn't stay at DB in 09 so... any ideas?

You guys should try to get rooms in Dunham's hotel portion. You really don't want to be drinking and then driving back to a hotel. This is why we try to stay where we are having dinner/party each night...

PS: Best Western locks up shop at 11pm IIRC when we stayed there 3 years ago.

i don't drink the guys that do did their own thing last time so we'll see how they coordinate. with drinking aside i'm curious where people will stay if not dunham's, i'm sure some will have no choice. a cabin could work if it was guaranteed clean (wasn't yours bug free?) but their policy states they're not responsible so its a little risk. rooms would be nice but with how we're working it out the cost and space become a factor. good to know, maybe best western won't work.

I don't drink either but I hang with folks who drink. I'd be more concerned with the OTHER DWI folks on the road late at night up there.

It's the other DWI guy I worry about, not our own people. The non-DWI guy is always the one that gets hit and the DWI person walks away unscathed. -mike You guys should try to get rooms in Dunham's hotel portion.
