Ted: I am trying to get my company to donate/sponsor the trip. Can you let me know any details I should pass onto them as far as what they get for their donation and what specifics they may want to know. I think they are also going to write the payment out directly to the charity, so what would that be? Thanks. Todd what does you company do? do they offer anything that could be useful to subys or the people who drive them? if they want to donate thats great but dont confuse donate with sponsor. donation can be made out to American Cancer Society. feel free to email me with more questions, look at my profile for addy

Hmmmm... Ok. They have nothing to offer Subarus. They are a major government contractor. I'll make sure they understand it is just a donation and not sponsorship.

Also make sure to contact Rally Armor as well.
And send me any new logos you have, so I can get em on the site, and I'm sure IAN will need em for the T-shirts as well.

Ted, also take a look through the Tri-state Vendor section.
Level 10 a big Automatic Transmission Race Modification place just signed on as a vendor, so let's hit em hard for 48hrs. There is also a few others who regularly post in there we can hit up too.
Thanks for all the help man!

I thought the same thing, Mike. Level 10 is already giving stuff away on NASIOC to get their name out there, so there's a good chance they'll jump on board for a good cause. (Not that NASIOC isn't a good cause...)

is there any reason we can't make the logos on the bottom of the 48hrs page be actual links to those websites? i would think that would help them get some hits...i know i've tried to click from there more than once.

Damn that's one impressive list.
I'm working on a sponsor from my area. I will let you know once they agree. I gave them a deadline of Dec. 1st. Does that sound workable?

Just curious how I go about approaching a sponsor? What exactly should I tell them in regards to how and what they should donate? I work for a small bank so I might be able to get them to donate a savings bond and I have a customer at the bank who owns a custom car and paint shop who I could get to donate possibly a detail job or something along those lines.
Naturally these companies want their names out there in return so how is this accomplished? Are they put on shirts, the magnets, decals?
I just want to approach these people with all bases covered and not look like I'm just hitting them up for free stuff ya know?
