Just curious how I go about approaching a sponsor? What exactly should I tell them in regards to how and what they should donate? I work for a small bank so I might be able to get them to donate a savings bond and I have a customer at the bank who owns a custom car and paint shop who I could get to donate possibly a detail job or something along those lines. Naturally these companies want their names out there in return so how is this accomplished? Are they put on shirts, the magnets, decals? I just want to approach these people with all bases covered and not look like I'm just hitting them up for free stuff ya know? -Greg for right now im gonna say hold off. there are quite a few sponsors i expect to have lists from shortly. the biggest problem is we are almost out of room on the signs and t-shirts. if i end up needing more sponsors i will let you know. thanks for the input ted

All of the above. I'll let Ted answer specifically but generally the more they give the better. If they get us a decent prize or set of prizes before Dec 1, we will put their logo on the T-shirts, encourage everyone to promote them and a logo and link on the website which stays on that particular year's site for the whole year.
They are also invited to attend and don't have to donate to ACS as they are already donating to the raffle setup.

SDC worked with the folks that used to run Prodrive on one of our SPT cars. Im happy say that Eric (came on the trip with me last year) was able to secure some raffle prizes from them. They are now Epic Engineering.
They are sending us a set of Springs and couple Epic Boost Solenoids (aka prodrive boost solenoid)
I asked Eric for their logo.
Also I hope to have SDCs list of prizes approved this week, im still sorting out what to bring and I am monitoring the registration page so I can cover most of the cars comming. With the amount of stuff we are bringing, I would like to do "pick your own prize" if a ticket is pulled for SDC stuff untill we run out. Thoughts?

The mugs and towels, will be for the people at the event, like I did last year with the mugs/rc cars/pens and stuff.
the others can go anywhere, I already changed the list to include a lower chassis brace for the new impreza/current legacy lol.

Don't forget the GC guys. And Forester owners! Although most STi bits will fit. I like the idea of pick your own prize. I think that will work out well.

Pick your own prize will work if the winners are present, if they aren't present, then we'll have to figure out how to work that but I'm sure that it'll work out.
Got a website for Epic? I can just grab a logo and a link there for the website.
